Penthouse Spica - Spijk Netherlands
Penthouse Spica is located in a nature reserve and is characterised by light, tranquillity and openness. Large windows bring the outside in and reinforce the connection with the surroundings. The walls in ecological chalk paint and the soft linen curtains form a natural basis that supports the serene atmosphere. The interior exudes warm minimalism: subdued colours, sustainable materials and a calm design language. The spaces are designed according to the principles of intuitive interior design, where balance and harmony feel natural.
The bedroom features an extra soft bed, combined with the extra fine cotton of Society Limonta. This subtle layering emphasises the essence of comfort and simplicity. The living room is furnished with generous seating in light tones, complemented by a wooden floor that adds warmth. The dining area features an oval Saarinen table with matching chairs, true design classics that exude timelessness and elegance. On the table is an object by John Pawson, a sculptural accent that reinforces the minimalist character and gives the space an artistic layer.
The interplay of lines is echoed in the kitchen with the Bertoia stools, whose graphic form provides an airy contrast while also connecting the kitchen and dining area. The work area is kept transparent with a glass desk and subtle details. Minimalist lighting follows the architecture and emphasises height and spaciousness without disturbing the tranquillity.
Penthouse Spica demonstrates how design classics, warm minimalism and intuitive interior design come together to create an interior that is timeless, refined and in harmony with nature.
